Appeal for witnesses and information following Eastleigh assault |

We are appealing for witnesses following a reported assault at Lawn Road Recreation Ground in Eastleigh. During the incident, which occurred between 3pm and 3.30pm on Sunday 1 February, it’s reported that a man in his 70s was approached and assaulted by an unknown man. Both the victim and the unknown man were walking their dogs at the time of the incident. When the victim’s dog was approached by the other, the victim attempted to intervene and separate them both. It was at this point, that the unknown man punched the victim in the head, face and neck and placed him in a headlock, leaving him with cuts and bruising. The man we’d like to speak to in connection with the incident is described as; • White Did you witness anything of the assault? Do you recognise the above description?
